Microchips have allowed us to reunite countless lost pets with their families. Prevent the unthinkable by agreeing to a simple injection. For your convenience and pet's comfort, we generally place microchips during our spay or neuter procedures. If you have any questions, please contact our team at 818-784-9977.
Although we believe the correct time to spay or neuter your animal is determined on a case-by-case basis recommended by your doctor, we would advise between 6-8 months of age. When you bring your beloved pet to our hospital, you can be confident that they will receive the highest quality of veterinary care. If you have any questions, please contact our team at 818-784-9977.
Thankfully preventing parasites has become very easy! Simply give your animal a chewable once or a month or provide a topical, the choice is yours! We recommend that our puppies and kittens have a fecal test at least twice before they turn one year of age, while our adults be tested yearly. If you have any questions, please contact our team at 818-784-9977.
Routine wellness examinations provide an opportunity for our veterinarians to conduct a comprehensive head-to-tail assessment of your pet’s overall health. These exams enable your doctor to track physical changes that may occur over time and detect any indications of a potential health issue.
We recommend that cats or dogs receive a wellness exam once a year. A puppy or kitten, an aging pet, or an animal with a recurring condition may require additional care to keep them at their best. Schedule your routine wellness exam online or feel free to walk-in, we are here to help! If you have any questions, please contact our team at 818-784-9977.

At Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group we strongly believe in the connection between proper dental care and a healthy animal! Just like us, our pets need to practice proper dental hygiene—otherwise, they can suffer from plaque buildup, which can lead to more serious dental disease or oral health issues. In addition to cleanings we offer dental X-rays, extractions, periodontal treatments and more.
To prevent health issues, we recommend routine dental cleanings for your animal two to three times a year. Whether or not a dental requires anesthesia is determined on a case-by-case basis, though deeper cleanings will require it. Routine cleanings are strongly recommended to prevent plaque buildup and limit the need for anesthetics. If you are interested in scheduling an exam or dental cleaning, please contact our team at 818-784-9977.
